 Self guided tours are available - despite the fact it is a busy "Working Hotel." The Resort Hotel is close to Mount Washington mountain, so it is short drive over and definitely a "Must See" drive!

My Wife and I did the Mt Washington Hotel self guided tour as well as the scenic auto drive up to the top of Mount Washington where we watched the interesting Cog RR Train arrive, and would highly recommend all three of the attractions. (See them on our New Hampshire Attractions page) On our next New Hampshire fall foliage vacation, we would like to stay overnight at the Historic Resort to have a personal experience with the historic ambiance of the New Hampshire Mt Washington Hotel and Dining.

Airport Tip We have found the Manchester, NH Regional Airport (MHT) to have good flight options + resonable prices for New Hampshire Car Rentals. It is just under a 2 hour drive to the Mt Washington Hotel, and slightly closer than the Portland Maine Regional Airport (PWM). It is an easy and fairly scenic drive up I-93, and goes through the White Mountain National Forest and Francona Notch State Park.
